Look at it however you want, they're still the good guys. Because, no matter how you put it, living in a city where the government knows everything about you, down to the most miniscule detail, isn't fun.

Civil servant. Not a cop, an officer of the force, or a police officer. A civil servant. Civil servant my ass. If people keep leaving, there won't be any civilians to serve. The government says people are leaving because of better jobs, then it's because of better living conditions, then because of crime rate and so on, and so on. That's bullshit. People are leaving because there isn't any privacy here. Cameras on every street corner, detailed profiles of every single citizen, and they're doing anything to enforce that. You can't send a fucking smiley face anymore without it being analyzed by three crime prediction systems, before it reaches your girlfriend. The amount of surveillance in this city is fucking nuts. Can you actually believe there are people – real fucking people – who run on rooftops, jump from building to building, break a shit ton of laws, and get payed for it? You know what those people are called? Couriers. Motherfucking couriers. There are people risking life and limb just to deliver mesages, letters, and documents to people – without the government knowing. This is what the world has fucking come to.

You know what the worst part is?

The government thinks that to catch a criminal, you need to think like one, act like one, be one.

So the government's training cops to catch couriers.

It's insane. I've seen the training facility – it's fucking huge. These guys have families – and they're making them risk their life to catch some fucking mailmen? I'll admit, being a cop isn't exactly safe, but this is just stupid. How much cash have they spent on this project? Millions? Billions? And they could solve the whole fucking problem if they stopped thinking everyone's a fucking terrorist. It's ridicoulous. But now that Pope has been killed - by a cop, it seems – they're going all out on this. A mayoral candidate killed by an officer doesn't sound too good, does it? They have to fix their reputation. And the amount of propaganda is mind boggling. For fuck's sake – they say that if a person likes the color red, they might be a courier. That's fucking retarded. „Five signs someone you know might be a runner.“ Runner. That's what the government calls them, and apparently the couriers themselves. Runner. It even sounds like they're criminals just from the name.
